Questions

Yes, essentially this is the same process of changing the parameters of the engine control to get the extra performance for your vehicle. As there are special maps, we work on optimizing the boost, ignition, or fuel map to change a default set of ECU's control parameters.

In order to increase the engine's performance, modern chiptuning implies modifying the software only, or the engine electronics in other words. For more advanced & complex tuning, hardware can be changed in addition to ECU modifications.

In general, any vehicle that has an electronic control unit and an internal combustion engine can be tuned. At Uptuning we offer chiptuning services for both gasoline and diesel vehicles.

In recent years, the safety measurements applied by manufacturers of ECUs grew tremendously that interfere with tuners' access to flash control units. You can consult the cars page here and check if your vehicle can be tuned.

The final gains of power and torque depend on the engine & vehicle's model. It can go anywhere from +50 HP and 100 NM to 140 HP and 200 NM (provided as examples). But most importantly, at Uptuning, we tweak the software of your ECU in a safe way, where we optimize the settings while keeping the engine within its safe parameters.

If you decide to go for chiptuning on one of our premises, then expect to spend 2 to 3 hours in one of our centers. As you arrive to your appointment, we will work on the car while you can sit back and relax.

Have you always dreamed of having a more powerful car? Then you can expect to start enjoying the process more as the drive becomes more fun, smooth and even with less fuel consumption! Power and torque improvement, enhanced throttle response and many more results can be achieved via engine remapping.

Chiptuning modifies the parameters in the engine control unit (ECU) software to optimize performance. This includes adjustments to fuel injection timing, turbo boost pressure, ignition timing, and removing speed limiters. These modifications enhance power, torque, and fuel efficiency, resulting in a more responsive and efficient engine performance.
